Now on Facebook

Um... I am trying the Facebook thing again... though it seems confusing to me. You will likely get better updates here on my blog right now. I like my blog. It is familiar territory. I like the journal-style of my blog. But, facebook is another route that someone might try to contact me, or locate me... since I live quite a distance from much "old" friends, acquaintances, and my family. I do not have my address or phone number on there right now... but, you may email me, if you would like to get that information. If you want good updates, just keep coming here.

Terrific Tuesday

I broke out of the house... ran away... yep, said "ta-ta" to the chores and had a good time outdoors. Couldn't have asked for a better time with my three little people... unless I had prepared... but, I hadn't. I was just sporadic, and just decided to enjoy the day.

I started with a desire for a McDonald's coffee. It did not end there. Instead, I went to Walmart, bought flowers, seeds, outdoor toys, etc., then, we went to a Metro Park farm. We had so much fun, except Charity's sandal kept coming off. We were so dirty by the time we left, it was fantastic... I know that sounds strange, but don't you just love splashing in mud puddles, breathing in the country air... okay, the hogs were stinky, and enjoying the new life of Springtime? It is worth all the mud, the second baths, dirty laundry, etc. I do wish I had had my camera.

We got home, did flowers, played, and they are now all in the tub. Before we got home, everyone got food from McDonald's, and I got my iced coffee... still hooked, and tired of feeling guilty about it.

Life was beautiful today.

I LOVE the outdoors... the nice weather... even the farm smells! Life was good today.

Ron's PET scan is actually scheduled in June, much to my dismay. I guess they think he's doing good or they would have had the test sooner.

I hope I have enough energy to tackle the chores tonight... do school with Faith... and, make sure she practices her piano.

Can't stop everything or it becomes unbearable.

Well, Monday is over, and Tuesday is nearly over... I wonder what the rest of the week holds... as far as I am concerned, everything can just about be moved outside. I want to be outside!

Mondays...

At the youth rally on Friday night, I was the Purse Babysitter for our young people... a rather boring job, to say the least.

The child with the allergy that needs discovered.

Yes, you might see your own picture on here. Hope you are okay with that.

Charity and her new found friend, Jillian... they had lots of fun together. I think Jillian is sad here because the toy dog they were playing with broke. There was another 3 year old they were playing with, but I don't know that I got her picture... they had a 3 year old clicke going on.

I was testing out my broken camera on lots of people. It still took pictures, though it is shattered.

Jillian and Charity again. The girls are looking forward to camp and IHC to see their friends again.

We had a nice group from our church there.

There was good food, good preaching, and good fellowship.

Our young people had a blast.

Below is my nephew and his friend playing basketball.

Above is the backs of some of our youth group.

Above and below is Hope with another one of our youth.

Another sweet girl from our youth is pictured above.

Our pastor's son... a very sweet tweenager.

On the left, you will see Faith with her new friend, Kaley Q... they were precious. They held hands and walked around the fellowship hall.

It's fun seeing all the churches get together and fellowship.

Some folks don't like their pictures taken.

There they are... holding hands. It was so sweet.
I actually helped pick friends for my kids. I tried to find children who looked their ages and sent them their direction, and it worked wonderfully. Since I know most of their parents, I have no fear of their attachment to them.
On to today...
I am up and at 'em, and feeling guilty for saying that the coffee was given over to God and still drinking it like it is water. Sigh.
Two children are bathed, laundry started, my bed stripped, two children fed (one slept in... she needed to... weekend has left her over-exhausted), listened to Focus on the Family, read a powerful blog of a friend, and snuggled with baby, who inspired an immediate bath when I realized she was soaking wet and had gotten my bedding wet... that'll get a mama on the move! Third child is getting in the bath, and I need to switch loads of laundry in the washer... Hold on a minute...
Okay, I am back.
Heavy on my mind is that failure to keep my word on the coffee, Ron's extra fatigue and weight drop, the fact Hope is going around the house with nothing on but a shirt... potty training, my missing friendships and outside connections, and the MOUNTIAN of work to do today... housecleaning, laundry, school, and Ron wanted to do a family night tonight as he will be gone all day tomorrow d/t work, doctor's apptmt, and board meeting. I know his CT scan on his chest came back very good, but a PET scan is coming up and I get stressed about those... and, though his counts have been good, I am concerned about the weight drop and fatigue, etc. Maybe it is because he is off the Prednisone. Don't know. I am a paranoid woman.
One fun thing to note is that Hope's vocabulary has increased! She was just going around the house chanting, "Faith Cook", then "Mom Cook." She loves to sing "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus..." and that is the only words she sings on that song..., then, she likes, "Holy, holy, holy..." and that is all she knows of that song, too. We have heard Jesus and Holy so many times of late, but it is wonderful! What better words could you hear a two year old sing over and over?!
Anyway, I thought I would share some pictures of this weekend. My camera is shattered and I could not see the pictures I was taking... just a white screen shattered, but when I got home, I put the disk in the computer, and was pleased to see that it still took pictures. I am very sad that my digital camera got broken, but it was my fault... I dropped it.

Hi, lurkers!

Just wanted to say Hi. Hi!
Just wanted to see if you wanted to say hi!
Hi!
I know you stop by...
"Hi" is appropriate to say once and awhile... it is short, really. Hi!

Out comes the tooth!

Before...
After...
It was starting to detatch from the back, so, I decided to go ahead and get it out!
Yes, I decided to do it in a classic old way. It was new to me, really, but I went ahead and tried it. Tied a piece of floss around it, and then the other end to the door knob. It didn't completely come out, but was very easy to pull after that. It wasn't a long hard struggle, but there were tears. She wanted all her friends to know about her loosing her first tooth. She was happy to get a fudge popsycle and a dollar. She has been asking me alot lately if it was ready to pull out yet, and I kept telling her "not yet." Finally, it is done, and if you see her soon, she will likely want to tell you about it... she is excited! When I asked her if it hurt, she said something like, "Only a little bit."

CUTE!

Little sister says she doesn't want to loose her teeth. That's okay... I don't think she has anything to worry about for a while.

Little sister again.

Faith with other little sister... excuse the items on the floor... that is life here with little ones.

What an exciting day!

Not sure what Hope is supposed to be in the below picture... it is a combination of play clothes for sure!

more picts

Okay, the roses are dying, but they WERE nice a couple of days before! These are the first roses I have received in many months, because of Ron's immune system not allowing the presence of live plants. He purchased these for me the other day. Thanks, Ron!

Our spoiled bunny. Her leg wasn't in it right in this picture.

This tree was cut down a few weeks ago... it was huge! We are waiting for the guys to come and get the wood.

I love it when she stands on her hind legs.

Doesn't our neighber have a cool car!?!

Big eyes!
Outside of our "school room".

Lovin' the nicer weather!
